Tekle Eckrich is co-chair of the math department at The Center School, in New York City. He holds a M.S. (Ed) from Bank Street College, an advanced Certificate in Middle School Math from City University of New York and B.A. in International Studies from the City University of New York. Currently he is pursuing an M.S (Ed) Math Education from Columbia University, Teachers College. Tekle is a fellow of The Academy of Teachers, New York City and of the Anja Greer Summer Academy at Phillips Exeter School, New Hampshire, an institute focused on math technology and problem-solving.

As a private SAT tutor, Tekle has helped scores of students achieve their academic goals. His students have gained entry to numerous schools including Yale, Princeton University, University of Chicago, University of Miami and University of Toronto, Canada.

Tekle has a passion for math education, college test preparation and has taught algebra and SAT preparation for over 20 years. He enjoys using technology and creative problem solving to help students understand and enjoy math.
